From August 2 to 9, 2025, a delegation of six faculty members and students from School of International Studies of Nanjing University went to the Netherlands and Germany for the Global Scientific Excursion and Research Training Project, which was themed on "Exploring China's Footprint in Global Governance".

The program, jointly initiated by the School of International Studies and the School of Government, aims to provide an in-depth look at China's practices and contributions to global governance, inspiring NJUers to reflect on their historical responsibilities and global mission.
The visiting team consists of 18 undergraduates and postgraduates from the School of Government, the School of International Studies, the School of Marxism, the Law School, the School of History, as well as the School of Foreign Studies, led by Professor Mao Weizhun from the School of International Studies and Associate Professor Yang Lijing from the School of Government.

Especially, the faculty and students from the School of International Studies actively leveraged their professional strengths. Combining the expertise with on-the-ground research, they engaged in productive dialogues with foreign guests to understand China's active role and practical efforts in global governance and related fields in recent years.
This international expedition not only broadened the faculty and students’ horizons on global governance research, but also provided the School of International Studies with valuable experience in interdisciplinary and cross-regional academic cooperation.
